Investor KITAS (Types 313 and 314) is issued to applicants who are investing in a PT  PMA company in Indonesia and need to work for that company. With an Investor KITAS, foreign investors will no longer be required to pay a fee of USD 1,200 every year.

Furthermore, once the initial investment has been poured, foreign investors can immediately start working in Indonesia if they meet all the investment requirements.

In accordance with the BKPM Regulation No. 5 Year 2019 which is an amendment of BKPM Regulation No. 6 year 2018 regarding Guidelines and Procedures for Licensing and Investment Facility, the foreign investors who fulfill following criterion are given facility to obtain Investor KITAS (Limited Stay Permit) in order to oversee the business operations in Indonesia:

• Serves as Shareholder and Director/Commissioner in the company with the terms of ownership of at least Rp. 1,000,000,000.00 (One Billion Rupiah) or the equivalent in US dollars’ worth of company shares.
• Serves only as Shareholder in the company with the terms of ownership of at least Rp. 1,125,000,000.00 (One Billion One Hundred Twenty-Five Million Rupiah) or the equivalent in US dollars’ worth of company shares.

Stage 2

Processing VISA at Directorate of Jakarta Immigration  

Since this system has been implemented, you no longer need to pay fees at the Indonesian embassy, because by having an electronic visa, you can now travel directly to Indonesia.

Final stage

Once the E-visa are issued the applicant can return to Indonesia, submit their passport to us, and we will register the KITAS. This final stage of the process takes approximately 10 to 15 working days until the Electronic-KITAS is issued (depending on Immigration system)
